Hi, my name is Brian Canedo.

Front-end & UI Developer with a can-do attitude!

A bit about me.

I am a Computer Science graduate from California State University of Northridge. After working as a front-end developer for a number of years, web development has become my favorite means of programming. When I am not programming, I enjoy rock climbing and going to music festivals. My favorite musical I have yet to see is Hamilton and my favorite video game is Super Smash Brothers.

Front-end Development

Implemented and styled new and exisiting application components using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and GraphQL.

Algorithms and Data Structures

Studied algorithms and data structures at length whilst at University and at the workplace.

UI/UX Design

Created prototypes and designs using Sketch and Invision.

Front-end Developer at Mastery Coding

Century City, CA - July 2018 - September 2019

- Wrote React components that implemented GraphQL mutations and queries on requests to the backend.
- Collaborated with the Lead UX Designer to deliver wireframes to all members of the engineering department using Sketch and Zeplin.
- Created and styled modular and scalable component systems in React.
- Performed end-to-end testing on React components with Storybook.js.

Front-end Developer at META+Lab

Northridge, CA - August 2017 - December 2017

- Built interactive websites and mobile applications using vanilla HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Prepared in-depth prototypes for mobile applications using Adobe XD.
